A Kentucky unemployment official says she’s noticed a big uptick in customers searching for a “recovery” coupon in their office depot.
The coupon reads: “Please help my husband and kids get out of poverty.
It will help them get a job, buy food, and save on gas.”
The Kentucky Department of Labor and Industry says the coupons are often given to low-income households to help them buy groceries and food stamps.
The department says a coupon is valid for one week, but they say that sometimes it can be extended to a year or more.
