The first photo shows the first child born on October 27, 2011.
She is a girl, and her mother, a woman named Karen, is smiling.
“It’s been a long time since we’ve had a child, so we’re really happy,” Karen says.
Karen is the mother of three young boys, ages 2, 4, and 6.
She had planned to have her first baby with her husband, who works in the insurance industry, but her career was disrupted by the financial crisis.
“I had to put my career on hold, and I really wanted to have the babies,” Karen told ABC News.
“We’ve had four of them now.
I’m the only one who has been able to have a child.”

“The day I saw it, I was like, I can’t believe this is real,” Karen said.
Karen and her husband had been working at the county tax office in the Chicago area, where Karen has worked for the past five years.
Karen said she was told the office would need to cancel her job, but she said she had to wait to see the birth certificate because her husband was out of town.
Karen had a hard time deciding what to do with her baby.
“They had no idea what I wanted to do, so I just kind of kept asking,” Karen explained.
“And I got the certificate and I was pretty happy.”
A few months later, Karen said her husband went back to work and the office told her to come back in October.
She said her office told them she would be the only worker who would get the certificate, so she had the certificate in November.
“But I was just like, it’s not going to happen,” Karen admitted.
“So I said, ‘I don’t want it, why?'”
Karen said when she saw the certificate she was so happy she had a heart attack.
Karen says she was relieved and she had an appointment with her doctor on October 31 to see if the certificates were real.
She then went back in and got the birth certificates, and she said the doctor assured her they were.
“He said, you know, we’re not going anywhere, but we can do it in person,” Karen recalled.
“Then he said, look, we don’t have any more people who need to be there, but I’m sure we can come back next week and we’ll see you.”
The birth certificate images show the couple has three children, ages 3, 4 and 6, and the birth of their son on October 30, 2011, is the last time they were seen together.
“My son is so excited, he’s like, ‘Dad, I’m a boy,'” Karen said of her son.
“His father and mother and my husband, they’re still in town, but they’re just not here.”
Karen said it was a special day for the couple because she has been pregnant for about a year now and has already had two babies.
“She was just very excited about it, she was just a little bit nervous,” Karen added.
“Because it was her baby, she didn’t know how she was going to do it.
But she did it, and now we’re all happy.”
Karen and Karen’s other son, a girl named Alex, was born on January 9, 2012.
Alex is about six months old and is a boy.
“Our daughter is just so happy,” she said.
“When she’s a little girl she’s like my little sister.”
